Hardenburg and Spatzel

looking for bigger and better castles i read about the castle at Hardenburg, the writeup said it was one of the biggest ruin in Germany so off we went on our next tour. and Hardenburg was really a nice visit.

The ruin is verylarge with lots of passagways and levels. there is always a high tower or turret to climb. there were two or three court yards and even a garden. we really enjoyed the castle. on ths trip we brought our lunch to try and keep the cost down. after we were done exploring i, the dad, ran down the path to the car and carried the lunch back to the castle. there is a nice little snackbar next to the ruin so we got a table in the shade. next to us were two couples from the US with a plate of spatzel, one of my grandpas favorite dishes. this entree was prepared with cheese and ham with a little onion cooked in. so we ordered a plate for us. it was to die for. after lunch we also got icecream, known as ice in germany. so in a way we kept the cost down but there is too much temtation in germany.

the oldest has just gone to see the new Batman movie so there we several attempts to take some action pictures.
