After seeing several castle ruins dad got word that Burg Eltz was a Medieval castle that was not destroyed in a battle but could be toured. that was all it took and we were off to see Burg Eltz. there are actually two differences between this castle and others, the first i already mentioned, it was still in it original condition. the second was that this time you walked down hill to get to the castle. the true reality is that after you are done with the tour you have to walk back up a really steep hill.
all that aside, it was a very nice tour in English and it really helped to understand what the other ruins would have looked like. also at Burg Eltz is a treasure museum with lots of cool items to view.
