Southern Germany, Switzerland

With the family back together this summer we traveled to Bavaria to see the Alps and other sights. After a nice night near the castle Neuschawstein and a visit the next day we traveled on to Berchesgaten to sail on Lake Konigsee and tour the salt mines.

Later this summer we went to Switzerland for a day and this on to northern Italy. The day in Switzerland was so beautiful. The natural beauty of the mountains and valley is something. We got a hotel in a small town and then rode a ski lift up to the top of a near by mountain for a short hike. The small tram had windows that opened but on
ly a little bit so when i popped the window open it frighten the good wife and one of the kids took this picture. The tram was very small and most of the family was a bit frightened.

Once on top we got some good pictures but not of the mountains since it was a bit cloudy.

Back in the village we had a nice dinner and then get ready for bed with the windows open to catch the nice cool breeze we soon realized that the church next door range its bells every 15 minutes while we hoped that the ringing would stop after 10 or 11 pm we were not so lucky and spent a fairly sleepless night.

Here is the unkind church bell tower.
